Paint seems to be done in groups. say 6 or 8 in white followed by several black, a few yellow etc. You can see it in person at BGAP if you take a tour and see it in various televised news reports where the report is coming from the floor of an assembly plant.

I have no facts but very highly doubt it. Did the Corvette assembly plant tour last year and they sure don't do it there. They have plenty of body parts in stock of all colors and just pick the parts out of stock for next car (color). All different colors came down assembly line at same time.
