1 2 5 4 but I put 5 behind 1 because 1 came first and looks very much the same, and 2 is growing on me so it might pass 1 someday I love all Camaros |

My order of preference, from an appearance standpoint, would be:
1, 2, 5, 4, 3 Stock performance, it's: 5, 2, 1, 4, 3

Gen 4 & 5 (tie), then gen 2, then gen 1 and finally gen 3.

Used my own little metric on this. Excluded Neumatic and PalmerGA, nothing personal, couldn't figure out how to slide it in there, basically, pick one.
For everyone else, if it was incomplete, the remaining gens got an average of the points left. If there was a tie, it was average. Basically a 1st place vote was 5 points, 2nd place vote was 4 votes, down to 5th place vote is 1 point. Here's my personal rankings, !st & 5th Gen tie for first, 3rd gen, 4th gen, 2nd gen And the results are these: 127.5 points 1st Gen 105 points 5th Gen 73.5 points 2nd Gen 73.5 points 3rd Gen 54.5 points 4th Gen

What's funny to me is that the 3rd Gen didn't come in last. Of course these results aren't scientific. I like the 3rd gen from a styling stand point a whole lot. What it does have going for it is weight, so we can fix the performance with a crate motor.
But for those that were at Indy in the Fall of '08 when the big reveal was up there, had the mule and that preproduction car. In the big tent members of the design team were speaking. I can't remember who, not Al for sure, but a younger guy that maybe worked on the interior, he was making fun of the 3rd gen saying "that styling is not coming back." Me and my mullet took offense to that. So from that I would have thought that the Camaro community would have regarded the 3rd gen in last place rather than the 4th gen.

Hey keep the results going, add another page, I'll be happy to update my results later, I saved the spreadsheet, so no biggie.

yeah they only sold 150,000 + per year the first 5 years of that design. surprisingly for the car magazines when it went out of production Motor Trend actually praised the styling still. |
