Hm, an open house with free admission to current HRE wheel owners but a $50 entry fee for everyone else? One would naively think HRE wanted to sell wheels to new customers...
Am I misunderstanding the purpose of this event perhaps?

$50 for non HRE cars only. Free admission for people though. That’s how I read it.

Still don't fully understand, is it that they want non-HRE owners to park their cars outside the event venue, hence the entry fee? That would make some sense, but weird marketing nevertheless, I'd probably want to let these folks park for free and try to sell them new wheels.

It doesn't appear the fee is for parking. I get the impression that people are showing their cars and you can too for a fee if you dont have HRE wheels. Otherwise everything is else is free. The site does note plenty of street parking and shuttle service.
Anywaaaay... actually sounds pretty cool and is rather close to me. So, I do plan on being there. Thanks for the notice Krops. Are you in North County San Diego too?
