Stolen White Camaro 2SS - Bay Area

Yesterday my White with black stripe 2012 Camaro 2SS got stolen in Walnut Creek CA. White 2012 Camaro with black racing stripes, ZL1 side skirts, blacked out emblems, white heritage grill.

It was parked in my work parking lot. 2 guys got dropped off, ran to the car, popped the hood, disabled the alarm, popped the door open and hotwired it. There was a witness and he said it took them less than 60 seconds.

Im really disappointed how easy it was to steal the Camaro. I expected a 2012 chevy to have better theft protection.

Im really depressed because I loved the car. It was my first brand new car that I ever bought. Not to mention, I had a bunch of personal items in the car because I am moving houses.

The car was found stripped in Oakland. RIP Camaro.

Another one bites the dust. Sorry to say, but bay area owners have been getting their camaros stolen like candy from babies. These cars really need better security. A lot have gone the Ravelco route

And in about a week or two some new user will come on asking questions related to an ls3. What a shame.

Sad but very true. Or some new user will come on selling a full drivetrain with no pics. People suck ass.

This is a drag. I'd say hope for the best with the police, but you can see where that might get you:

I am really sorry for your loss. Hope insurance helps out. I wonder how they where able to pop the hood before opening the door.

Very sad, sorry OP. I would not be happy either. Let's hope for something positive to come out of it.

I assume they disabled the on star, thought that would help locating it anyway.

Hope you have good insurance, because this is like the 15th bay area/central Cal theft I have read here in about a year. The guys that stole your car are pros and it is likely nothing more than a carcass already, unfortunately. You can only hope your insurance company compensates you well for your loss.
And really, my personal opinion, if my car got stolen I'd hope I never saw it again. It's now tainted goods, was probably abused, and has diminished value.
Sorry for your loss. I really hate car thieves.
