Jacking pucks

What have you guys found that works? I see fancy aluminum magnetic ones for $$$$$ and ones that look similar to a hockey puck that are much cheaper. What did you pick and why?

I picked the permanent (semi) mounted ones from ZL1 addons. I don't have to worry about finding it, taking it with me, or anything. They're super convenient, and you can use them with the jack and/or jackstands. Also, you can't even see them when they're installed.

I picked up the pucks first since they were cheaper. The problem with the pucks is that they are too wide and in the back will press against the sideskirt. The ZL1 Addons magnetic one has two raised thin rails (as opposed to a slit cut into a puck) to avoid that.

Spent like $10-$12 and made a set of 5 up out of actual hockey pucks... Perfect size (had to bolt 2 together to fully support the seam)

Do those ones stay 'clamped' on the seam as you postion the jack?

No. I have to line them up as I'm putting the jack in place. I also have to use a small block of wood below them in the concave of the jack so that the jack does not contact the rocker molding when I go to lift it up but this would be the case with any jackpad with a full size jack with a concaved jack area.

i bought the same and had the issue where the edge of the puck would push against my sideskirt when jacking up the car. i had to cut off a chunk of the puck in order to ensure no pressure was put on my sideskirt. so weird that you didn't have that issue...

It just barely fits if I push it all the way inboard. It is tight though.

Definitely a little pricier but works really well.
