And the Z06 did a 1:25.00 at Big Willow. Still the "faster" car of course.

What's astounding to me is the GS and Z06 were both equipped with carbon brakes and sticky Michelin tires...I'd love to see what a ZL1 could do with that equipment...

Good point. I didn't think about that.

I paid for the Motortrend on Demand Platinum. I had no idea they had so much awesome racing on that app. Worth it.

I think the Z07 is a great car.

But this little footnote, to me at least, highlights how truly awesome the ZL1, and the entire Camaro lineup really is.

I'd like to see them test it with the sport cup 2 tires. I don't think for one lap the carbon ceramic brakes would make any difference.

wow! The unofficial A10 time almost took down Godzilla. Also,I was pretty sure that the ZL1 was going to experience heat soak once it was on a track full of cars and not getting optimal air flow. Although we still haven't seen it in that situation it's shaping up that I may have to eat crow on that prediction.

You can get a Grand Sport out the door at many dealers for less than a ZL1, as long as you don't get the Z07 package. It would be interesting to see what time a non-Z07 Grand Sport would run.

Agreed.

They should have made this an "track pack" option when ordering a new ZL1 IMHO...

Can someone post the spoilers for those of us who don't want to wait?

Sounds like it bests the Hellcat and GT350R at their specialties. I'm sure excuses are flying at the other forums. Chevy did a great job if they made one car that can do both so well.

Nothing new...basically a video version of this:

http://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevr...e-squad-goals/

But the video part is so good, just getting to see the car in action.

I am most interested in lap times at Laguna and VIR. I could never do the 'Ring, too far, too long. My old mind would not be able to memorize that many corners.

On the argument of M6 vs A10: I'm going for the A10 as I've spent a few decades now practicing heel/toe and am ready for a change. Don't get me wrong it is very involving and fun but change is good. Kind of like upgrading golf clubs from steel to graphite shafts or larger clubheads

Fairly confident that the goodyears are supposed to be of equivalent grip to the cup 2s.
