New 2ss or used 2013 zl1
Looking at getting either a new 2ss or used Certified zl1 with 6000 or less miles.
I m not tracking the car, just Sunday driver/garage King and burnout at the light. I am always a fan or more horsepower though. For what it's worth going manual All input on what you'd chose appreciated. Budget is 45,000 or less.... Thanks in advance |

I have a supercharged 2SS, but they didn't have the ZL1 out yet when I bought it. I think if I had to choose, I'd get a ZL1.

I am fairly new here, but think there are several threads with the same question. There really is no answer that anyone else can provide other than what you like at a test drive.
New & you know how it has been driven since day one or a used supercharged car you hope was never raced hard. Then add that the new 2016 *should* be revealed at the Detroit auto show in January. So wait for the new & buy new or buy a outgoing discounted 2015? See what I mean? You can definitely over think these things. |

This is true. When I bought mine in 2009 there weren't too many options. It was easy for me to choose a new 2SS because that was the best they had to offer at the time.

A 2SS is awesome if you really want a brand new car then go for it but I'd go for the zl1 with more power and the extra's you get with it are worth it imo. Added benefit is the zl1 should hold its value better and be worth more later on. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies and keep them coming. 1le or supercharged 2ss is fair game for this discussion.....
I have thought about the 2016 but so far not a fan of the spy shots or waiting till next October. I figure if the G6 turns out to be good can always trade this one in, in a couple of years.... |

the only garage king better than a ZL1 is a Z28. Since you said it was going to be a garage king I`d go ZL1. If the choices were for a DD I`d go for a new 2SS.

This is actually a tough question, as I almost always prefer new over used. Add to it I am in love with the '14 refresh; You can't go wrong with any '14.
I'd say that if the new is in better overall condition than the used ZL, then I would choose the new 'SS, short of ordering a new ZL.

Well, you are choosing between two very different cars. I guess it comes down to whether you want 400-425 HP (depending on manual or auto) or 550-ish HP. Big difference! Make your choice and buy what you can afford (2013, 2014, etc.). Now that the '15s are out you should be able to get a really good deal on the '14s and "new" '13s (there are still some out there but maybe not in a ZL1).

I'd either wait on the 6th gen or get the SS. Its a great cruiser. And if its a garage queen like mine, you really dont need more. I guess its a matter of preference. For me, headers, intake and tune are enough for me. Or add cam and suspension....and you are still less than a zl1. But then again, there is the prestige of owning a zl1. Good luck with your decision.
