Does anyone carry?

With the concealed arms permit, it is legal to carry a concealed weapon in a vehicle within arms reach, loaded but not chambered. Most of the permits allow to carry in the majority of states. Does anyone who has a concealed permit carry their firearm with them?

I've often thought about it but the way people drive these days it would be too much of a temptation to put them out of their misery.

Yes with concealed handgun license. But in Texas you can keep a firearm in your vehicle without a license.

Depending on what I am wearing I carry either a S&W Air Weight J Frame or a Glock 19.

The new Castle Law in Texas gives most folks the right to carry in their glove box and many do.

Every day except when going on base, and I do keep mine chambered.

I'm in NC and have my concealed carry permit, carry it every day. Right between the seat and center console.

A unloaded gun is like a rock. You can throw it and run away.

Yep, no need for a permit to carry concealed in your car in TX. I keep my S&W M&P40 with me.

Here in NC, with a concealed carry permit, yes, you can have the firearm loaded and within arm's reach in the vehicle. You can even have it holstered while you're driving if you so desire. You just have to inform an officer that you are a permit holder and have your gun with you if you are pulled over. I carry a Springfield subcompact 9mm every day. It fits perfectly in the door.

Without a concealed carry permit, the firearm is supposed to be unloaded and in plain sight.
