ISIS is living large now!!! Thanks to the American tax payer they get to buy Zl1 and Hellcats. Good race tho.

Yes, Hennessy is credible
Everybody "WANT'S" their favorite to win but racing on stock tires doesn't give either car a fair chance save for the lesser powered car. I wonder how they'd fare on ice.

We'll with the hellcat being NHRA certified it looks like in a traditional drag race it's very close between these two. FACTORY STOCK.

The cars are close enough to say it's a drivers race between the two

No I didn't lol the ZL1 isn't the car that it should be compared to the demon imo. However nothing but a 100 shot a drag tire setup and it may be a driver's race again.

Why wouldn't stock tires be fair other than the portly ***** has skinny tires. Big Dave just ran an 11.2 in a completely stock ZL1. I am sure a good driver could do good on stock tires.

Because stock tires cannot and do not represent the true potential of a cars power. If I were to use stock tires on my Chevelle I would likely hit the k rail.I'm having great difficulty getting a Pro Bracket Radial to hook at my local track. I have purchased slicks for marginal track use.
I've seen many Mustangs hit the k rail on their stock tires. Your ZL1 tire is a compromise as is that of a HC. A drag radial in both cases will prevail every time. Lost traction is lost acceleration regardless of who's moniker is on the car.

Nice video! Thanks for posting. I'd say that probably represents the results 90% of the time. There will be exceptions here and there. Drag radials on both would be interesting to see. That should definitely make it much closer from a dig.

Agree it might be closer than most thought after some of the roll racing videos

Are you comparing a 66 chevelle with these? Huge difference. Big Dave ran a 11.2 completely stock. What is wrong with comparing two completely stock cars? Later you can throw on tires and compare that too. Just because you can't control your car doesn't mean other people can't control theirs.

I agree. I like knowing the potential, both with a tire, and bone stock.

Same here...not a big 1/4 mile guy, but I still want to see stock comparisons. I actually think has more merit in my eyes than putting on sprinter shoes.

No, my Chevelle is alot quicker and alot faster on a dragstrip.
Don't let the 650 number Bamboozle you.
What I'm suggesting is that it is senseless and unsafe to try to put 650 hp and 650 lbft to the ground at a dragstrip on a stock tire. It's only a matter of when.
