remove rear O2 sensors after headers n tune?

Pretty straight forward question. My understanding is the tuner takes the rear o2 sensors out of the equation to prevent check engine lights, etc. So can I just remove them entirely?
Why would I want to do that, you ask? I'm going from high flow cats to catless mids when I do my heads n cam. I'd rather not fight those sensors again and risk damaging them. I'd instead rather just install a bung plug and be done.

Yes, if he turns the rear o2 DTCs off, the code will not appear. Plug the hole and call it good. Dont forget to cap the socket with something so water doesnt get in there. It is still live.

Or you could leave them in and hooked up ,to give the impression nothing has been tampered . This and HF cats give the car a legal/legit look to prying eyes.

it's technically just as illegal to run a non OEM cat on any registered vehicle that is less than 5 years old as it would be to just running no cats. So this guy has a 2015, not 5 years old. You'd get in just as much trouble if you had high flows or no cats from a "legal" prospective

no need for them cap them. you could probably order pipes without the o2 bungs. If I ever have to replace my Cats ill tell ARH not to put them in.

That's why I have high flow cats. You'll likely fail emissions inspections in NC without cats, but with cats (OEM or not) you'll pass.

Yes I know that , I'm an emissions tec. Just saying it would look ok to the untrained eye.

Thanks for the replies. This is good to know.
As far as emissions, in pima county AZ, the current emissions testing is to check for DTCs/check engine light and that's about it. Plus, I don't have to worry about that for 4 more years. Who knows, I may be TT 416 by then!
