1 year is not near enough time to change styling or content. Only under extreme circumstances could even minor changes be made to respond to a competitor. Major tools alone can take over a year to make.

From another thread on Camaro5:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=392630

Coupe: ~ 5/20/15
Convertible: 04/17/15

Seems like a good bet somewhere between late March and June for end of orders.

Since my lease is running out, I have to buy a car now. You don't always have the choice to wait over a year without losing a lot of money.

Maybe next time, in 4-5 years when the Mustang is paid and the 6th gen gets a facelift, I maybe will call a camaro my own.

PS: I love the look of the new Mustang, it looks very classy for a muscle car, so I wont regret my decision.

I would get a 2015 Camaro, it is still a better car than the Mustang.

Better is a relative term.

Unless you're comparing a Camaro to a Mustang. That's rather absolute.

Really? Then how come the 2010 Camaro SS has 426hp and the 2010 Mustang GT has 315hp? If i'm not mistaken, the Camaro went on sale or able to be ordered the first qtr of 2009. So the specs of the car had to have been, at the latest, revealed in the first qtr of 2009, if not the last qtr of 2008. GM gave Ford plenty of time to try and match up to the Camaro.

edit: I looked up an article from july 2008, giving the specs of the upcoming Camaro.

yeah that's not correct altcamaro1. and the 4thgen Camaro was released a year before the new competing mustang was. everyone knew far ahead of time what engine's GM had for the 5thgen.

in my case Im am a camaro fan but I placed an order for a GT A6 50th anniversary back in my home country, after Chevy Colombia told my father there is no plan for a international camaro Release like the mustang, so the 6 Gen camaro will be released in Latin America in 2017-18... I must say Im really disappointed, the 2015 mustang was released In colombia with a nice event, and a lower price 55.000 15`GT vs 65 "15"īSS (its really a 2013 old facia camaro)

so Ill have my Moded 4 gen here at the states and my mustang 50 anniversary in Colombia.

at least we know there will be not an Global release for the 6 gen camaro, saldy News because Colombia was one of the first countries (after Mexico and Canada) to sell the Camaro... damn shame

Camaro SS and HPE650 test drive by ben Collings in colombian release back in 2011 (I bet you never seen this)

Where did you find this, nice?

well Chevy make a big event all over Colombia when the camaro was released even getting the HPE650 in 2014 the High performance model was replaced with a tuned ZL1, suspension, transmission and torque are different from the american model, thanks to Juan Pablo montoya an Helio castroneves Camaro brand did events of small drift in bogota, Montoya was a day drifting lettiing people with kids ride in a Camaro SS while he was drifting and riding, he did this for over 6 hours!

other unseen videos involving the 5 gen Camaro ZL1

no, but it will not have an global release like the mustang, so the 6 gen will have to wait a couple of years to go international and I will do it gradually like the 5 gen did... this WILL hurt camaro sales
