Also, bet on the limited not being removed. Raised? Maybe. But these limiters are used in conjunction with the tire's speed rating...not the capability of the vehicle as a whole.
True about tire rating being a factor. However, keep in mind that they can put whatever tire they choose, and GM has a bounty of high speed tires in their line up. What I'm thinking about is the aero limitations. At 155 mph, the Gen 5 seems like it can start getting in to a lot of lift, thus making the car less predictible. With more down force, as the article states, the car can more safely achieve higher speeds.

I'm not so sure that when they built the Gen 5, they said "We better limit the speed to 155 because of the Pirelli's." I think it went more like, "We better limit the speed due to the behavior of the car beyond that." The Pirelli's were probably just the tire they chose as a compromise between performance and cost, based upon the 155 limit.

I know we saw Goodyears on the wheel picture, but we don't know what performance or trim level that package was for.

Anyway, JMHO and I reserve the right to be wrong.

Wait till you see them side by side then decide, all you have seen so far are bits and pieces and have no real frame of reference.... I bet the differences will be more dramatic than you think...

Technically, if Chevy was keeping pace, they should have done their mid-cycle design refresh in 2015. Except they didn't. The mid-cycle refresh was pushed ahead to 2014, and even then, with a completely new car for the 2016 model year, that "mid-cycle" refresh is going to end up more like a "2/3-cycle" refresh. :P

IMO, they should have kept the 2010's styling until the 2015 model year without any changes and sales would have been fine. It's only because of the 2014 "2/3-cycle" refresh that people are now complaining there aren't radical enough design changes for 2016. The 2014 refresh was supposed to be the precursor to the 6th gen in style, but only in style, not function or performance. No offense to any owners, but this is why I consider it the "bastard" Camaro in a sense. It wasn't really necessary.

The 6th gen Camaro is going to be a real bang for the buck. With magnetic ride on the SS trim and the Stingray's LT1 under the hood, this is going to be a pretty good car for the price point. Well, not "pretty" good, actually *very* good.
The 2014 refresh was minimal. If they had not had an all new 2016 right around the corner they would have had to have done a lot more.

Folks will try to grab on to anything just to hate.

The car is not even out and the first 3 pages is shows exactly how far folks take this. If you don't like it... Don't buy it and move on.

2014 & 2015 are beautiful cars. After a few years Chevy got it right. If I didn't own my Chevelle and a Silverado I'd be driving the 2015 Camaro. OR the C7.

Was anyone able to lighten up the side view and see anything new that we hadn't noticed before?

Here's a solid legit question.... What if... SS engine rating is 500 HP + 450lbTQ... starting at $31k. I think if that were to happen, my 2010 SS would be traded in a split second.

That question is not "solid", or "legit". Its just flat silly. Wont happen. EVERYONE would be trading in, at that point. Prices dont jump down.
