Awesome! Everytime I go to a family gathering I always have to take my nephews around the block a few times.

Awesome story! So cool when you can make a kid's day like that. He'll be telling that story to his buddies for a long time.

There is a kid who lives behind us that is autistic, and his Mom said he LOVES cars, and especially SS Camaros.. (I know they have seen our car) so yes a ride is in order for him (and Mom) very soon.

ROFL the sad part is today you'd get arrested for kidnapping!

Cool story, I find it amazing that the kid had enough respect to ask if he could take a picture of it. Most kids these days that are 14 would sit on the hood and take a "selfie" without the least thought about respecting you or your car.

Wonderful Story BUT in today’s world :( This young person needs to be talked to about the REALITY of what could happen he gets in the WRONG car with the WRONG person. Your intentions were good just not all GOOD people drive neat CARS. << SAD world we live in today. But we need to keep our Children SAFE. I have told my kids Somebody Pulls a gun and says get in the CAR! Scream as loud as you can and RUN like Hell. Most perverts will move on to the Next Kid rather then getting caught. Id rather they be dead ON the spot rather then NEVER finding them and wondering how they suffered :( <<

For everyone out there questioning this, please realize that looking back on it, I wouldn't have gave the kid a ride without the parents permission. It caught me so off guard that the thought didn't cross my mind till afterwards.

On a side note, the kid wasn't as young as some of you are probably picturing. he was 14-16, and was actually bigger than me(Before anyone jumps down my throat, ino, this point is somewhat irrelevant). Obviously, If the kid was 7-8-9 years old or whatever, I wouldn't have offered him a ride.

The kid just seemed to be so into the car, and the way he went about asking if he could take a picture instead of just doing it, I figured what the hell, he'd probably love to take a spin in it.

Hindsight is 20/20, but you live and learn.
