Question

Hey guys,

My car will be delivered soon and I plan on taking a road trip. As a safety precaution I want to take a Camaro SS 20 inch wheel with tire mounted. Will that fit in the trunk with the narrow opening?

The wheel/tire would (I assume) only get mounted long enough to make it to someplace that can repair the flat, so it shouldn't matter that the ST light might come on.

According to Jeremy Clarkson, BBC's Top Gear tv show, only two kinds of people drive Camaro's. One is Drug Dealers and the second is "Murderers". Yes the trunk is kinda small, but an average size adult fits in there quite nicely, although duct tape is highly recommended. Don't you just love the million and one uses for duct tape!

hmmm, I am just sitting here trying to figure out which one I am of the two. I need to get busy one way or the other if I plan on keeping the Z I guess.

I guess I must be the drug dealer, According to local police since i'm black. Been at the same company for almost 30 years and went from 1988 Z51 Corvette and 1991 and 1992 ZR1's and now ZL1. Just gotta figure out what type of drugs i've been selling and where's all the tax free money???????

Once you get that figured out, please let the rest of know. I can't imagine I am the only one who has a lot of catching up to do.

My guess is that you could get 2 in there if you lay down the back seats.

I am taking a week long road trip and would not want to compromise so much interior space so I guess that leaves me buying only one rim.

The SS has different sized rims 20x8 front and 20x9 right? Which size with tire mounted barley fits in the trunk? In other words which did you have experience with?
