On my 2011 they never pop open unless i actually want them to. Mine is a DD and my twin girls ride in the back daily. Both seats are folded forward and kids climb in and out daily. I'd say 50% of the time they at least somewhat touch the belts getting in or out and mine stay in place.

I will say mine snap really well when i put them in place and i have to tug up on them to release.

Mine rarely pop loose. Only happened twice, when i take a corner to fast and fish tail and then stabilitrak rights me. Its likely the seat position that makes the difference, my seat is all the way down and the bottom is all the way back so it rarely gets enough force to pop unless im sliding.

Between the 2010's and the 2012, I haven't had an issue and I use my right arm to pull the belt and lock it.

Thanks in advance.

Ive never broken them loose, only this big Ogre I work with undoes them when he puts his seatbelt on, but he is like 6'7" and very clunky

My 2LT seat magnets held great. On the SS, my driver side seems to be as strong, but my wife constantly pops the passenger belt off.

I looked at some of these magnets online. Which ones are the best and did you completely replace the original equip magnets or is there a more simple way?

Thanks!

Hmmm. Strong seat belt magnets or 426 hp? That's a toughy.

I got sick of this on my 2011.. It didn't happen to my wife when she rides in the passenger seat.

On my driver's seat, it would pop and then the seat belt would cut into my neck. In addition to getting a seat belt pad, I also fixed the driver's magnet issue with some cyanoacrylate to keep the magnets from coming apart.

2010 model here...no issue with magnet.

Edit: but you should check out BMW's solution, it's pretty wicked.

A robot arm comes out and pushes the seatbelt strap from the back within arms reach to the front

Be sure to remove the clear plastic over the magnets. I asked the dealer not to touch the car when it arrived, but they tried anyway. They left plastic over the magnets which weakens the force.
