But high 13s are a lot more common for stock G8 GTs in good air. In average conditions, they usually run around 14.0 or so in the 1/4 mile. I knew some guys that had G8 GT's and they ran about .5 sec slower than my stock LS2 GTO (that ran 13.3s - 13.4s on average stock). |

At what point did the OP say the G8 was a V6 ? I was saying the G8 GT is about the same speed as a Challenger R/T in earlier post, but the G8 is a hair faster based on my experience.

My neighbor has the fastest v6 g8. He has headers, mace 25mm insulator, rotofab intake, custom exhaust, and tune. He was able to beat me until I installed my ported IM, IM spacer and injen cold air intake. The v6 g8 can be made to be fairly quick but a camaro with the same mods will be quicker. My other friend has the v8 g8 lightly modded and I feel will destroy me in a race which is why I havent run him yet. If its not a gt or gxp its only a 6 and you stand a chance.

As others have said:
If it's a v6 G8...then you will smash it. If it's a v8 G8...then you will be smashed. All G8 GT's have a 6.0 V8. The base (non GT) G8 had a 250ish hp v6. Road and Track pulled off a 5.0 sec 0-60, and 13.5 sec 1/4 mile in their stock G8 GT. http://www.roadandtrack.com/tests/ca...-pontiac-g8-gt Most are not that fast, probably low to mid 5 seconds to 60, and high 13's in the 1/4. V6 G8's are much slower. |

Hmm. I haven't heard too many people refer to the stats of a G8 GT as "doesn't look too impressive for a car with 2 extra cylinders". If you run him even in stock form he's gonna walk you. If its tuned with supporting mods expect bus lengths to be put on you.

I just traded in my v6 2011 RS two months ago for my SS. My brothers G8GT and was way faster than my v6. He does have a few bolt ons however with a tune and it's actually right about the same as my stock ss.
Stock GT's are 6.0L and are very quiet with stock exhaust. It will obviously be a closer race because his car is stock but trust me it pulls like a 6.0L sports car should.

I raced a v6 camaro when I had my G8 GT with CAI only.
I gave him a head start and I caught up and started to pass him around 60-65mph. if it has a tranny tune you will get smoked |
