All the time for me. I stop at the speed limit though.

I do pretty much the same thing most of the time. Like you, I'll stop at the speed limit or 5 or 6 over, which is the normal pace of traffic around here, but the funny thing is 9 times out of 10 the other car WILL pass me before the next light by going 20 or 30 over. I won't be baited into driving 80 in the 50 just to prove to some SUV driver that I can keep up.

Had a guy in a Dmax try racing me in town last weekend. We both pulled up side-by-side at a stoplight, but the difference was I noticed the cop we passed a half block ago while he didn't. I never really understood why someone would try to race in the middle of town on a Saturday night. I knew the guy so I tried to get his attention and tell him not to do anything stupid, but he did anyways. I talked to him later that night and he said the cop came up to his window and asked if he really thought he was going to be a Camaro and let him off with a warning.

You usually only need the speed limit to do it too. |

I guess I'm the only one that has balls to say YES! I love taking off any chance I get to line up( someone worthly not lil ricers) with someone Ill go for it, but don't get me wrong I have my own rules too like not near really public place or too much traffic but on a two lane street n little or no traffic n u get a 5.0 or challenger pulls up next to me, it's on like donkey kong lol

I was on the highway going 65 in a 65 about to pull off on the off ramp when these crazy mofos in a 2002ish black Vette and another on a rough textured, flat blacked out 5th gen' Camaro SS were catching up real fast in my rear view mirror. Right as I pulled off they passed me doing well over 100 mph. Not very safe, but I enjoyed witnessing it.

I have the same problem!! I don't go more than 5-8 mph over the speed limit on city streets but on two lanes at a light, I do tend to get up to speed limit rather "spirited"!! Hey ! It's a Camaro after all!! I think most people expect it and enjoy seeing my car! I WON'T race any one on the streets tho, If they really want to go ahead of me by surpassing the speed limit , I'll let them, but I leave all the grannies and soccer moms in the dust when ever I can. They're probably on their cell phone anyways!! ;-)

Amen....I've never had anyone "Race" me, then again, I don't pull up to lights with engine revving and constantly looking over at the next guy.....

I recently had a Mercedes (don't know what class) try and race me last week. I'm like...? This guy's trying to get up in my Kool-Aid!

I am in a bone-stock 2LT, so no, I do not press the go-fast peddle. I used to in my WS6, but not any more.

It's definitely a competitive nature thing as I do the same exact thing. I wish I wasn't like that, and actually had to change the way I drive to work every morning since purchasing this car. Now I do the speed limit every morning and have people behind me flashing me to go faster on the expressway.
You can't win......
