There is another thread discussing it. It can't be true...gotta be a typo.

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would buy a 2016 with a V6 when you have the 4 cyl turbo option. If you want performance, the 4 cyl will be easier to mod. Just turn up the boost a bit and it will kill the V6. Of course, I'd still have to have the 2SS.

For one, some people like having a warranty. You can throw two turbos on the V6 and decimate the T4.

The 4 cylinder in the Mustang is pulling a pretty heavy car. On top of that most aren't happy with the note (even after exhaust mods) or the hate for the 4 cylinder. Personly, I don't know why anyone would buy the 2016 Camaro with a 4 cylinder with you have a 6 cylinder and the NPP option. The 4 is nice for those that just dont care about anything other then MPG and looks. |

I agree I would want the 2SS. If I had to choose between the turbo 4 and V6 I would get the turbo 4

Not for the same money. By that time, just get the V8.

If you're letting a few grand make your decision to buy a "Mustang" then I'm glad your going to buy the ladies performance car.....why is a Ferrari more than a Aston Martin etc etc

I won't say picking up a discount ZL1 isn't a great idea, but as far as twice the car needs a disclaimer like....in certain areas. 6th gen SS performance numbers could be a very close match, could being key of course. But the real issue is the interior which I know may not matter to some. To buy a car on discount costing as much as a new 2SS with an interior that looks like it came out of 2010 is a major let down. And regardless you will always be reminded of that since you have to sit in the interior. That to me is the main reason I would not consider it, but that is just me. For others, I think it's a great opportunity.

Looking at it the 2016 Camaro doesn't compete with the V-6 Mustang which starts at $24,700 and instead competes with the Ecoboost ($26,200) and Ecoboost prem ($30,200). So the LT prices are not bad in fact the 2016 LT Camaro is cheaper then the 2015 LT Camaro, I think people are getting confused because there is no LS Camaro.
If you are looking at buying a 2015 1SS 1LE Camaro then it will be cheaper to buy a 2016 1SS Camaro (laps faster then the 2015 1LE based per Al). I think it is all going to come down to how you would want the car optioned determining if the 2016 is cheaper or more expensive then the 2015 Camaro. If you want a base no option 2015 1SS then yea the new car is more expensive no matter how you shake it. However if I were to buy a 2015 SS Camaro right now it would have to at least be a 1LE car (which brings the price up to $38,000) and I might want the halo lights and leather seats as well. For me the 2016 Camaro. Though I guess it all comes down to will the consumer get sticker shock or will they crunch numbers between the Mustang and Camaro. I would however honestly rather spend $30,000 on a 2LT V6 Camaro compared to $30,000 for a Ecoboost prem. Mustang. |

Why make so many amenities standard? Base for base to keep in line with the competition and outgoing model?

People love amenities. They want it on the car already and people will pay for it.
