are we claiming that lowering air pressure on a 100% stock parts car is considered a mod on this forum? can we get a designation for this added to the fast list mod key....I suggest "LOL".

FYI...American Muscle got 437hp/401tq on their M6 '18...still under Fords claimed 7k hp peak

I think you missed the point, nobody said that...they were more so saying compare "untouched" tests first...IE a magazine comparison with the same drivers, same track, same day, recommended air pressure, 3/4 tank, with average times, not ran in super good DA at a rented for the day track and so on.

Makes sense...up about 15 on hp, and down about 15 on tq compared to most M6 LT1 Camaro dynos. Should be a pretty even drag race. Mustangs biggest issue will be the piece of crap MT-82 still though...

Torque is what helps win races with these cars, and that "updated" mt-82 still sucks...I test drove one yesterday.

Which I can say is MUCH improved over my 2015 GTPP M6 power wise. But, my Camaro still feels like it has more punch. The Mustang was still lacking low end. I predict M6 to M6 1/4 mile goes to the Camaro by two tenths. I don't care about the autos, I don't buy performance cars and get automatic transmissions.

Horse hockey. Air pressure keeps being brought up to discredit the time as though the car cant run those times at 32psi and its therefore modded. And 500 d/a is far from super good...unless you live in the mountains. This wasn't a -2500' Cecil pass. They ran at their home track when they got the car which happens to be in decent air.

Discounting times because there were multiple pass attempts or may have adjustment to factory tire air pressures is ridiculous. If this is the standard every impressive pass made by any stock vehicle regardless of make is now garbage times.

Has anybody ever run their personal best on the very first pass in a new car on a street tire? You need to experiment with multiple pass attempts to find out what the car likes and what conditions the track will hold.

If the car in question had no mods it was STOCK.

They weighed the car at 3,860 pounds today.. I'm sure that scale is give or take 10 pounds. Not sure how much fuel they had when they were running it yesterday though.

Is anyone actually discounting the times? Some just seem to think this is about as good as it will get, which is pretty darn good.. Maybe another tenth in there or so for someone, but your typical person going to drag strip will not be running 12.0, just like typical Camaro doesn't run 12.0.

According to their IG live vids they had 1/2 a tank for the 12.02 run.

Yeah, just saw that. Impressive run for sure. If that scale is correct, it weighs about 100 pounds more than a loaded Camaro, and this thing isn't even loaded. Seems like it definitely picked up some weight over previous years. Perhaps PP components are heavier for 18? No clue on the weight difference between 10A and 6A.

Looking at the graphs the cars aren’t making any more power after 6600 anyway. Strong numbers either way. About 5 over a happy lt1 m6 dyno and down about 20 tq

Looking at the m6 dyno the curve is different than the a10. It looked like it could have built more power when it shut down....I just checked hadn’t seen the m6 curve

Here are the two graphs for those who also missed the M6's.

Stop reading in between the lines. Nobody discredited anything, being that it is the first real test, and done by a Mustang shop some just want to wait for a same day/same driver/same track test. Not sure why that seems so outlandish to some...heck, I was even like WTF when the first stock A8 SS 11.90's popped up. Now there are guys (in good air) running 11.80's stock. But without the "other" car there and running too, it's not a fair comparison on either side. I am not biased either, I had a Mustang GT before this...I've owned both Camaros and Mustangs.

Personally I don't give a crap, as I didn't by my car to go in a boring straight line...and the M6 GT PP2 doesn't really worry me, even with it's optional tires that it will need to compete, that will last maybe 2500 miles.
