So....When in Rome, do as the Romans do? I'm really not up to date on other 2016 autos. However, again, 2015 1LE & Cadillac ATS coupe(bottom model), probably the SRT version of the Challenger.

They need forged wheels to offset the 4200 lbs of two door sports car? Grand Touring car!

relax guys... I got the Camaro for a reason. I have to admit though, the SRT 392 is pretty good kit for your 48k (a very realistic sale price these days)... if the Camaro didn't lose as much weight as it did, I'd be driving a Challenger now.

Besides the 1LE/ZL1 wheels, all new Camaro wheels seem to be in the 30lbs range :(

Looks like I'm gonna have to get the 1LE wheels when they become available for purchase. I love those wheels. If the 1LE came with some of the 2SS features I want, I would just get a 1LE.

Yeah... Not a very pleasant number to look at when referring to wheel weight.

Old thread that I ran across. I was looking at those Advanti Hybris wheels. The 19in are 21lb and 20lb for the rear and front respectively. Paired the fronts with 25lb general tire and put a 28lb conti DW tire in the rear.

Now taking into consideration with the stock wheel and tire setup is roughly 248 total lbs:

(2) front tires: 60lbs
(2) rear tires: 66lbs
(2) front wheels: 60lbs
(2) rear wheels: 62lbs

then take:

(2) front advanti hybris 19": 42lbs
(2) rear advanti hybris 19": 40lbs
(2) front general gmax 245/45/19: 50lbs (general tire's site lists them at 25lbs)
(2) rear conti dw 275/40/19: 56lbs (continental's site lists them at 28 lbs each instead of what tire rack rates them at which is 30lbs)

the total of these is 188 lbs. So 248-188= 60lbs of wheel and tire weight saved!

How much would that translate at the track in terms of ET and MPH times? Couple tenths worth for such a lightweight setup?

Here's another alternate setup that weighs even less

Enkei Kojin wheels: 18x8 and 18x9.5
Weight: 21 lbs for rears and 20 lbs for fronts

Tires: General Gmax 255/45/18
Weight: 25 lbs

Contintenal DW 285/40/18
Weight: 26 lbs

184 lbs total with all wheels & tires! 248-184 = 64 lbs of rotational weight saved. Also for just $1800 for that setup. Super light.
