Funny Camaro Spotting - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Went to the store today when a sweet '14 Black Camaro parks next to me as I'm sitting in my car with the top down. The owner gets out and I say "Nice that's a 1LE, right?" (I noticed the red brake calipers and black wheels so this was obvious, but just making conversation). The guy say's "I don't know, I think it's SS or maybe an RS - I saw it on the lot and thought it looked cool". I took a second to explain that I was "pretty sure" he had a pretty sweet car with the Camaro performance package. His reply again was something to the order of "Maybe, I don't know, it's pretty cool..."

The whole conversation made me chuckle at the level to which I obsess over these cars while realizing that the vast majority of 500,000 or so folks who bought one were just buying a good looking car that they found on the lot...

That's usually how it goes. A solid 80% of people who buy a Camaro buy it because it looks cool.

same as the s197 mustangs...dont take long to realise it's a pos though once u drive it..
polished turd springs to mind.

My guess, he walked into the dealer and said I want a black camaro. The dealer said ok here are a few. The guy says to his wife which one do you like. The wife says those red brakes on that one over there are pretty. SOLD - they pay $1,000 over MSRP and a track monster is immediately put out into the field to stud...

Im not trying to bash you or argue but 90% of your posts you make constant comments on Mustangs. FYI I have owned Mustangs and Camaros since 1977. I am not a fanboy of either.

Mustang's have a history since 1964.5, Camaro's since 1967 both are great cars and if they hadnt been they would still not be around today.

There are millions of happy Mustang owners and for you to constantly talk shit about Mustang's is showing your fanboyism.

Yes the last generation Mustang needed and better suspension but my last Mustang a 2013 5.0 would have torn your head off in your Camaro and it was all stock. I happen to drive a Camaro because I preferred the styling over the Mustang.

As proof of the popularity of the Mustang the 2015 is selling great not only here in the USA but overseas as well.

So grow up and stop the bashing of a American Pony Car especially when you really have no clue what one is to begin with.
