I can understand the whole idea of getting a more exclusive model. But to trade a supercharged Camaro, for another supercharged Camaro, you will loose big time.
Way too much negative equity, unless you put a decent amount down (or u paid cash). Having a supercharger sounds like a blast. I'd try to enjoy it for a while longer.

OP, Dude I would keep it. I understand SC devalues for most buyers, I still consider it an upgrade. You got almost the same power at way less cost, it's a smarter ride.

A similar supercharged car (more mods than yours I believe) was recently sold, you can check classifieds. I think it was listed as $45k SOLID. Ended up being relisted and selling for $42k on ebay I think.

If you return it back to stock to trade it in, how much do you want for the procharger?

Hello,
Thank you for asking; in my view, if a thought like selling a vehicle crosses one's mind long enough to seriously ponder it, then the decision has already been made. I do agree that it may be better to part out the blower and put the car back closer to stock but I'd try to sell it as is first, on ebay perhaps, or even see what they will give you in trade, before reverting to original specs. Hot Rodders have more success in souped up cars than many other OEM things. Someone may be looking for exactly what you have done; you won't know unless you try. Good luck with your decision. I would go back to stock and trade it in for the ZL1...the dealer will likely cut you a good deal knowing that you just made them money and you are going to make them more money rolling over to a new ZL1. You also have to calculate that you won't pay sales tax on whatever value they give you for your trade in...so that could be a $1,900 to $2,000 savings.

There's always another car around the corner, faster, better. Be happy with what you got, if you where keeping your car and then buying another car then that makes sense if you could afford it. Your losing to much, don't do it

It was also sold by a performance shop, so that helps the value when you're a reputable shop selling a car that you built rather than a private party. That said, I still think he could get high 30's for this car, maybe even 40 if the right buyer comes along. |

You're right, reported hp is never actual hp. More of a sales gimmick by the manufacturers. ZL1s are sweet, but you can get there far cheaper with an SS, f/I and some internals. |
