The 6th Gen Camaro refresh is right around the corner, and if there were to be a power bump, we would already see it in the Corvette first. Don't expect to see a power bump, IMHO.

New Corvette's are right around the corner too, with the new trucks. So far all we have seen is the Zr1, which did see a power bump . It has a new dual injection system, which may trickle down to all LT v8's. That with dynamic skip fire, if it happens, sounds like revised v8's. If it doesn't happen in 2019, it will probably be 2020.

I think there will be a power bump, but obviously I don't know. A lot of people are saying definitively no, but they also have no idea.

4th gen had one bump (275 to 285) and an engine change. Far from continual.

The ls1 got changes as well. Ls6 intake in 2001 is one example.

I’m betting no performance changes. 10 speed at most.

Would love to be wrong though

Was there an actual change in rating for the Z or T/A? They also went to a smaller cam and something in the fuel was changed if I remember. This period was terrible for inaccurate ratings to begin with.

The LS1 offerings changed not just intake, but also camshaft and cylinder head design when it was offered the the 4th gen fbodys.

No power bump, but I'd bet the 10 speed could be on the table. I sure hope it is....although I don't think it will give much of a performance gain over the 8 speed. Maybe a 10th or 2-tenths in 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile.

That said, that would probably be enough to keep it the "magazine tests" faster car above the Mustang. Heck, I think the current car still has the edge, but that 10 speed is a big deal for the Mustang. Its neck and neck.

If I recall it was 310 hp in base form up from 305. But yeah ratings were terrible. Was a ~350 hp motor

Yea but then they won't be able to brag, lol!!

I bet these shops getting these cars are gonna be the only ones pulling off these magical numbers.
