This is just like the GT500 threads over there lol. The ADM on that will be ridiculous I still can't believe I just bought a 1LE for $3k under msrp and I paid $8k over for my GT350 and they wanted $10k over! The R they're still asking crazy numbers for when the GT350s are must sitting in the showrooms unsold. 2017s even still...

By those numbers and inputting 7000RPM peak HP rough estimate is 495HP
7200 RPM=509HP and 7500RPM=531HP

I think a z/28 would be great only if it was a stripped down track car. The 1LE 1SS is great (ordering one) but I would love to see it taken to the next level with serious weight reduction with manual seats, no back seat, no A/C, removal of some sound deadening materials and maybe even a factory 4-6pt roll bar option like a 911 GT3 RS. Get it below 3500 lbs with maybe a small bump in HP.

So call it 530 HP. would this be worthy of the Z/28 heritage on a road course when compared to a SS 1LE?

A ZL1 1LE, minus the LT4, with a 1SS 1LE interior, 530 hp and some light weighting would be a good Z/28, in my opinion.

Perhaps an announcement at the Detroit Auto Show? Do we expect to see the refresh at Detroit? There have been some refresh mules spotted. But, I don't think there have been any Z/28 mules spotted. Not looking good...

That to me is the most logical move for a 6th gen Z/28 |

For one thing, the back seat will be staying in. A 2 seat Camaro is a car that would be out matched in just about every measure by the nearest Corvette. In both performance and livability. To cut 200 lbs you're probably going to be changing out some body panels & using carbon-ceramic brakes, in addition to most of the stuff you said. That'll push the price way up.

A ZLE minus the LT4 plus a COPO 302 and weight reduction would create a retail price above the ZLE, wouldn't it? The Z/28 was about $15K more than a ZL1. Are we talking about a $90,000 Z/28?
