Cobra Guy Thinking ZL1

Greetings Camaro6,

First of all.....DON'T SHOOT!

I'm a Mustang guy that is considering adding a 2018 Camaro ZL1 to the stable. I'm mainly a drag racer, but have done some autocrosses. I'm a Mechanical Engineer and participated on the Texas A&M Formula SAE Team that won the 2000 championship.

Cool Cars Current:
2004 Mustang Cobra with factory Mystichrome Paint 1 out of 1000 built. 460 RWHP, 470 RWTQ
1993 Mustang LX Coupe - 351W, 9" Rear End, Caged, fast for the late 90's, slow by todays standards

Cool Cars Past:
2001 F-150 Lightning
1995 Mustang Cobra - last 302
1989 Mustang GT

You might see a trend here. Beyond the Ford trend, I'm in love with V8's with boost. Ford doesn't offer one right now, so the Camaro has my eye. I hope to learn about the postives and negatives from you guys.

We won't shoot. Just think of it as buying a camaro your life has been resurrected and the mustang sent to H E L L. LOL

FINALLY!! I havent found anybody else from FSAE on here yet.... as you may be able to tell from my name... I captained the University of Hartford's team in Connecticut! GM bringing their stuff to MIS really hooked me (even though they were probably still holding it at Pontiac back then?)....

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

They are awesome cars and you couldnt go wrong with one. Much better than the Gen5 ZL1s and they were good. Oh and Im not a fanboy. Had GT500s, Camaros and Challengers. Currently sporting a Hellcat, but I believe Im heading for a New ZL1 as well.

I started participating in 2014. Attempted a coup and assumed power in 2015, then graduated last year haha. I dont remember Texas A&M being at Michigan last year...
