I work a full time as an estimator in a factory and I have a business selling and delivering firewood as a second job. It's nice to get tips but not expected. Lately the tips have been rolling in more often.

Sometimes I tip for a delivery, depending on the parcel. It doesn't matter to me if it's a holiday.

It's very different than it was only 10 years ago when we had a regular mailman, a paper boy, etc.

In NYC you could be earning 6 figures. But, of course, the cost of living is higher.

It's silly for someone in a small town to compare incomes with someone in a large city.

I used to tip the mailman. Until I found out the were scanning Amazon packages saying delivered, when it had not arrived yet. Had a package a couple of weeks ago say it was delivered, and it didn't come until the next day. Sure enough a news article came out and said that USPS trucks were pulling over on the side of the road and scanning packages saying delivered. Apparently the managers are telling the drivers to scan the packages, so they can meet the deadline.

I have a package from Amazon that says delivered two days ago that I didn't see until yesterday.

There’s one place I’m adamant about NOT tipping. My wife gets on me about it every time. I’m wondering if anyone can guess where it is and if you share my sentiment.

Agree 100% & so does my wife. Every once in a while we go to a buffet at one of the Casinos when we're down in Vegas. When we do, I will only tip the cocktail waitresses if we order bar drinks.

Same thing happened to me the other day. My buddy told me USPS is scanning packages so they can meet the deadline. I called USPS and they denied that they were doing that. If this keeps up, I'm sure Amazon will dump them.
