I remember playing NFS: Shift and dreading the 'ring. To this day, I don't think I've perfected any of its three segments ... let alone the whole thing. Oh sure, I could win a race on it. But I can't beat the track. Either I go off track, or bump a car, or go skidding off-line ... anything but a perfect run.

Not necessarily so. My friend has his allocation. He has a 2016 911 GT3 RS and has owned several of these rarer Porsches in the past. History of purchases seems to play into getting an allocation.
