Front bumper bolts
Does anyone know what part number and the size of the 12 front bumper bolts that I will need to install an ACS Composite ZL1 style front splitter on my '21 2SS is? And maybe if you know where I can order them from other than the dealer because they charge way too much. I don't have the original bolts any longer and need to find replacements ASAP.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! |

I called my local dealer and the part number for the front fender liner bolt is 11548697. They are originally $36.17 PER BOLT!! I can get them on sale for $27.02 per bolt. What a joke GM is!! I need to find that bolt at a reasonable price. I haven't been able to find them unfortunately. Last edited by Kobe15; 04-16-2024 at 05:04 PM. |

Wow, this is simply highway robbery...
Sorry about my suggesting the wrong part, I have these bolts and they fit my 2018 just fine. Had to go out to the garage and undo a front bumper bolt to check, but these aftermarket bolts are the exact same diameter as my OEM ones, just a tiny bit shorter, which doesn't matter, and they bolt up perfectly... why GM had to change this. Since these screw into and are held in place by U-nuts, you could get smaller diameter nuts to fit the cheap bolts, but then the front bumper has to come off, it's a bit of a hassle. Then again, it may be worth doing over paying $100-150 for a few freaking bolts.

No big deal on your suggestion. I had ordered them off Amazon about 2 weeks ago and tried them. I thought they were the same as my OEM as well. I'm going to take it to the dealer to see if the parts dealer gave me the correct part number on the phone. I think he's correct, but I'd rather they looked at it in person to make sure we are talking about the same bolts.
I wish it was only $100-$150. I need 12 of them so they would be $324.24 before tax and shipping. Sure is highway robbery! I may try to call a junk yard to see if I can get them, but I doubt they'd just sell me the bolts unless the bumper is damaged and they can't sell it. Edit: GM changed the fender liner bolt starting with the 2019 model to an M7x30 bolt. Found some online that I hope will work. Last edited by Kobe15; 04-17-2024 at 06:17 PM. |
