Has anyone seen this and know what it is ?

I was pulling the trunk liners out today to do the fuse pull so I pulled the Driver's side too just to see what's behind it. There is a about a 6 inch x 6 inch square piece of rubber sticky tape stuck to the backside of the drivers side rear fender. I tried to peel it back some and saw that under it is bare metal. No paint or anything else. I stuck it back and put some more sticky tape that I had over the corner I had peeled back. Has anyone seen this and know what it is or why it's there ?

I've seen this in several different car models. Best guess is it's to dampen resonant vibrations in the sheet metal.

And the only fuse pull I've heard about involves fuses in the under hood fuse box.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Honestly I cannot remember what we call it thou. It will come to me later. It is put there to help with panel vibration. It is located on many locations thruout the cars built today.

Not sure what you found but any fuse pull is done under the hood.
Now if you were disconnecting the battery - you are in the right spot.

I think he might be talking about pulling the fuse for the NPP dual mode exhaust. That is in the trunk.
