Saw the picture and intended to mess with you for calling a canard/dive plane a splitter. See a few others already did lol. Just happy your car is alright and it's an easy fix to replace a splitter. A 175 mph bird is a missile so that damage is pretty minimal all things considered. The real question is where were you that you hit that kind of speed? Also, I thought these cars topped out earlier than 175.

Here's what the mounting slots look like, still not convinced glue wasn't used LOL
There's a number of locations in Denver metro where, but I have to chose the right time, I can hit such speeds. It takes less than a mile to hit 175 when I start from say 60mph. Of course the plains east of Denver offer unlimited opportunities.

The faster you go, the more it hunkers down and hugs the road, 175mph is cake. Wish it had ride height sensors so we could determine how much at various speeds

There's six clips holding on each canard, no tape. There's been a few guys that have broken off canards by hitting cones at AutoX where speeds never usually exceed 60-70mph, I for one wouldn't be too surprised if a small peice of debrief would knock off a canard at that speed.
