Believe it or not, I've never been on Craigslist... Might have to give that shot, depending on what the folks at wheel repair place have to say. Thanks for the pointer.

Hopefully the guys at AWRS wheel repair will be able to help me. As I mentioned in another reply, they're one county over from me in their coverage area, but maybe they'll make the trip.

This problem is part of the blind spot these cars have, especially making that right turn. It's especially easy to run over a curb at night if not careful enough. You should be able to find a new one dirt cheap. People here are buying new rims all the time and selling the originals for peanuts.

I have the same problem.
I called a wheel repair shop and they said it would cost about 180-200 to repair.
I live in Canada so you should also be able to find a shop in the US.

Try Keystone for wheel repair. We use them here in Wisconsin. I am not sure if they cover your area out west though. We have sent in some really bad wheels and they come back looking great.

Does it look like this? Made me sick when I did it. No worries, got it fixed for $100. Looks brand new, can't tell anything ever happened.

I had a recent strike on my right rear wheel as well. my heart just sunk. Thankfully, its just the paint (Have the Midnight Silver painted wheels). I ordered the wheel paint and I'll see what I can do with it. About 2 inches. Since yours are the polished alloy, you may be in luck with a cheap fix. I found this thread and it looks promising! Let me know if you decide to give it a go!

I did the same thing last summer. My dealer hooked me up with a mobile wheel repair guy and it was an $80 fix and I cannot see where the damage was. Way cheaper than a new wheel.

AWRS (http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/) has a technician in the area this coming Friday and he's going to fix it. $100. That's almost $400 cheaper than a new one!

The guy from AWRS called me back and referred me to another AWRS franchise closer to me. Drove over to him and -voilá!- AWESOME REPAIR JOB! I cannot see the damaged area. These folks really deserve a hand - indeed, a standing ovation. http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/ $100/wheel. Well worth it considering the GM price of a replacement...
Once again I've got virtually virgin looking wheels. Now to conquer the right-side blind spot!
