Any G6 hood should fit, but you may lose the cooling aspect.

From what I have read the SS and ZL1 cars have different cut hoods and are not cross compatible.

Anderson Composites & 6LE Designs make ZL1 type hoods. I do not believe either that SS & Zl1 are CC. If you are replacing ZL1 hood, go with a hood with similar heat ventilation (i.e. the Anderson Composites)

You want to change that awesome hood? I wish I could get it to fit on my SS. They are different sizes though.

I am waiting for a more reasonably priced hood to come to market for the ZL1 before I consider a ZL1 front on my 1LE. At $3000 the GM ZL1 hood makes that conversion twice as expensive.

Give it a year prices will fall when the 5th Gen ZL1 came out prices were higher than the 6th Gen I picked up and OEM mint condition black ZL1 hood w/ OEM ECF insert for $1500 shipped back in 2014.

Who can confirm the fit? And what does not fit? I remember seeing something about adding spacers to the fenders but not sure if that corrects fitting for a zl1 front bumper, hood, or side skirts.

The spacers correct the fit of the zl1 side skirts to the factory fender.
