What kind of Oil do you guys use?
I know from being on here that the V8 owners on here use synthetic oil for the most part. What about the the LLT/LFX? I have 1500miles on my LFX and plan I changing my oil in the next few days but synthetic is like double the price so I'm thinking just good ole Castrol 5W-30

Castrol GTX Every 3k with a delco filter. This is on my 98. My whole family uses castrol. It was just passed down to me. Best oil as far as im concerned. I used Mobil 1 one time and it was burning oil bad. Drained it and went right back to castrol problem solved

Just changed my oil at 1000 miles. I used 6 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra 5w30 and a Mobil 1 filter. No problems runs great. Maybe ill try some Amsoil next just for the heck of it.

i use mobil 1 full synthetic, with a stp oil filter. i'm not sure where the oil filter is located on the v8's but the v6 is so easy to get to.

What ever you use makes sure it meets the dexios standard listed in the owners manual.

Don't use standard oil...you'll lose performance. The Mobil 1 is as good as it gets. Some pay a lot more per quart for their favorite synthetic like Royal Purple but it's hard to beat Mobil 1. I buy my oil in the 5 quart +1 container from Walmart and, along with a filter take it to my dealership. They charge me $13 to change it.
