First 500 2013 ZL1's rare?

So I was at the track last night talking to a fellow 2013 ZL1 owner and he was telling me that if the last 3 digits of your vin number are 500 or below on your 2013 ZL1 he claims that it is "an extremely rare car worth about 80 or 90k, thats what i have it insured for". When he told me this I didn't believe him, just posting here to see if anyone else has heard this rumor? He claims its has something to do with the assembly line?

Judging the way the srt8s were brought out than the first 100 cars would be more of what he is talking about. I don't see a car around the serial number 500 being worth what he said especially it being the third year that generation has been around

To the right buyer it can be, but honestly why care so much? Lol either way it's an awesome car.

ha ha BS. Mine was #63 of 2013 and nobody cared.

2012's are worth any more than a 13.

once you go to sell milage and options trump production number.

now I can see serial number 1 of 2012 possibly being worth more a a collector.

Doubt it. 2013 was the 2nd year of production. Nothing special here...move along.

Nope. Only if there was limited production. In 1969, there was 69......So, his insurance agent is making more on his premiums. Maybe....and I say maybe, if the 2012 or 2015 were limited productions. That being not the case, either one of those years could fetch a bit more as being the first and last G5 ZL1s

Yeah, the only one to tell him that was the guy that sold it to him or his insurance agent.
