The dealer changed the belt under warranty and it fixed the chirp. All good now.

what causes the belt to slip in the first place? is it the belt or is the compressor misaligned? hope its a one time fix,id hate to have to keep goin back to get it fixed.

Defective belts from what I understand. The pulley's aren't adjustable. The crank pulley and the compressor are directly mounted.
