front license plate...

where is everyone mounting their front license plate.. I might register car in NY and really don't want one... in TX we use to just put it in the windshield and cops left us alone..

I'm not. I really don't like the front license plate on this car.

Some kind of retractable hide-a-way would be the only option for me.

Not a bad idea. Cops aren't too anal about the front plates in TX. They actually seem to combine common sense with the law. I drove my old Silverado for 18 years with no front plates.

there is an automatic front license plate holder that stows under the front bumper and the push of a button on a key fob pops out and up. check it out on youtube or ebhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CORVETTE-97-ON-RETRACTABLE-FRONT-LICENSE-PLATE-POWERED_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ140342642192QQsspag enameZRSSQ3aBQ3aSILFQ3aFRQ3a102ay

I have not put mine on and have had no problem and believe me I have had a ton of cops look at my car. If they need a reason to pull you over that would be one and I bet if they caught you speeding they might just say I'll let the speeding go and get you for the plate. I don't think the auto plate holder is ready for the 2010 but the manual one is.

No lic plate require in NB for seasonal vehicles

In New Brunswick Canada most of us put the Camaro away for the harsh winter. So the government has a new rule up here that "seasonal vehicles" no longer need a front license plate. After driving with no license plate for 11 years I am finally legal. For once the gov't does something that makes sense.

Got the same issue in MD. I put my front plate in the glove box. I'll toss up on the dash if I get pulled over. I'm not letting anyway drill a license plate holder into the front bumper of my car.

I too am in Texas, and we all know how much attention our cars bring, from EVERYBODY, encluding officers. SO I am running a front plate, BUT THERE IS NO WAY I am putting holes in the front bumber/facia. There are a couple of different NO HOLE front plate holders on Ebay that work quite well. Mine cost me $90
