"Hurst Equipped" badge hokey?

I'm getting a Hurst short throw shifter installed on my "SS". I've seen Hurst Equipped plastic badges on Ebay for cheap to "advertise" your vehicle has a Hurst shifter. I have Sparks "SS" emblems coming for the front & rear of my car. I'm taking off the bow tie and small SS badge from the rear so I'm thinking about putting the Hurst badge where the SS badge was. I think it will look alright, but will it? Leave it with just the Sparks emblems for a clean look? I know its a personal thing, but other opinions can make a person see things in a different light.

If they're cheap, pick one up anyway. You can double stick tape it on to decide if you like the look before really sticking it.

I'd wait on buying the badge, you might get one with the shifter. If I had a hurst shifter I'd probably put the badge on. It can always be removed if you end up not liking how it looks.

They belong right up there with STP stickers in your rear windows (IMO)

I like my old style Hurst Equipped badge. You get stickers with the shifter, I bought the real thing directly from Hurst. I kept my red SS badge so I mounted mine on the left side.

The plastic Hurst badges on Ebay are junk. I ordered one for 7 bucks and when I got it, the quality was so bad that I used it on my lawn tractor (which I added a custom Hurst shifter to).

Ditto....of course, that's my personal opinion. If you like it, go for it. It's just not my taste. I like a clean, uncluttered look.

Plus, (again, my personal opinion) Hurst should give the badges away since technically speaking it's advertising for them. Pretty smart marketers that came up with a way to not only get passive advertising on a massive scale, but to get people to actually PAY them for the privilege of advertising their product.

Maybe they're counting on folks to look in your window and see that giant hurst badge on the shifter....I kid I kid.

I've got the Hurst Equipped badge on mine, and I love it!!! I get lots of questions about it. And most everyone thinks it's factory badging. Got mine off ebay too, but I can't remember if it was plastic or a metal reproduction piece of the original.

I am in the camp of the less badging the better, as a matter of fact my car is 90% de-badged. It is a 2010 RS/SS and the only badging on the car right now is the 2 bow ties, one on the back (black) and the gold Grille bow tie that will be replaced within the next 2 hours with the black SS emblem from Sparks. Besides that there is the SS emblem on the right side below the trunk there are no Camaro emblems on the side and nothing else on the grille. Its like the OP said, it is all a matter of personal taste. I also have the Hurst shifter and the only thing that comes with it are 2 Hurst Shifters stickers.

Definitely put the Hurst badge on your Camaro, I an not a fan at all of the de-badged Camaros.
