Watched Jimmy Kimmel tonight and the American Air Force hero that saved many lives in a terrorist attack on a train in France, was awarded a 2016 Camaro SS Conv. Glad it went to someone that is a symbol of freedom and heroism! God Bless!

He's about to promote to E-4 and the next day the Chief Staff of the AF is going to immediately promote him to E-5.

More power to the guy. I currently serve in the AF and to me he deserves it. I know a lot of members at work are mad because of how long it took them to study and make the rank but really SSgt is not hard at all to make. I barely studied and made it my first try, now for others that's a different story but it's mostly on them for not studying. The guy did get pretty hacked up from the knife on his back and he made a split decision to sacrifice his life for others. As far as the others go apparently from what I read they helped afterwards. The guy who is getting promoted was the one who did the work to take the terrorist down and then his friends helped just keep the guy down. Cool story no doubt and I applaud him for his actions. At least he is set on not buying a car haha.

Certainly he deserves it, but I agree with a previous reply; what about the other two? They did as much as this guy and also deserve nice expensive gifts. All three show the world what our people are really like, not the protesters, rioters, and looters, although that is what the world sees for the most part.

And here I am with 3 years in the Marines and still stuck at E3. I guess I need to go save some babies from a burning building or save some people from some crazy person at a theater.
