3D Printed Sidemarkers

Salivations!

I posted files and instructions for anyone interested in making their own side markers. They are a bit of a hack as print does not include harness connection and uses 3M tape to mount, but they're much cheaper than Oracle and look just as sharp IMO.

If you don't have a 3D printer and want to make your own, I'll print parts (ABS plastic) and ship for $40 (other parts can be purchased via links in instructions). Black is always good, but can print in any of below colors. They all come out matte, poly can be applied for shine. PM me if interested.

Those look good. Just a thought, what about arranging the LEDs in a bowtie?

Thanks, JerTM

Could do that. I'd go down to 3mm LEDs (these are 5s) to get some space, but that would be cool. Maybe version 2. :-)

Great concept. Good work.

But im not a fan, just yet. Would rather have a smooth factory face and still have a colored reflective lens.

Thats so cool, cutting edge stuff. Probably tons of other applications and possibilities there.
