I've done upgrades where the halos turn on with the drl, so the halos are on all the time, kind of a easy mod, and they work with your lights on auto too don't have to touch a thing

I don't like the Halos...looks like the cars have a bad case of cataracts.

I hooked my hids up to a relay setup so I have no DRL and my halos are wired to a relay that is ignition activated so I have halos all the time and headlights that still work on auto at night.

That's exactly how i want to do mine. What wire do you tap for hot-in-run?

Light green plug on the BCM, pin #6 pink. Run that to #86 on a relay and use the relay to run the halos

When i am done with the new halo's They will change colors by your mood, I have a mood ring that i am installing on the stirring wheel and as you drive it picks up how you feel and changes the halo color.

So for me it will always be red or .......... Only red then. J/K

OP there are lots of ways to have your car do that look, Have fun Moding your car there are lots of good vendors on the site.
