A new ZL1 owner on board.

Well I never serious considered owning a ZL1. I had my sights set on a 1LE. I was watching a blue one in Utah, and just before the 20% sale hit, it sold. So for shits and giggles I researched the ZL1 and found that I can own a ZL1 for 1LE kind of money (with the 20% deal). After some hand wringing, I am now the owner of a Ashen Grey ZL1. Going to Logan, Utah on Saturday to take it home. I planned on waiting for a Gen 6, but after building a regular SS and hit $48000, I bought a ZL1 for the same money. The Gen 6 is a better car but a Gen 6 SS will be one of tens of thousands by next year, a ZL1.....well........will always be a very special car.

Congratulations on your purchase man! I wouldn't say the Gen 6 SS is a better car just yet! These ZL1s might be heavy, but excellent platforms to build off of.

There just isn't enough zl1 owners modding their cars and just leaving them stock the zl1 is definitely a great motor! I'm hoping to get 800 horses to the wheels by the end of winter! And definitely post pictures

Good choice, you will not regret it!!
The Gen 6 is nice but.... it is way to soft, not chiseled like the Gen 5.

I will post pictures when I get it. AGM would not have been my first color choice, likely third after Blue (love that color on these Camaros) and Crystal Jewel Tint. However don't have a lot of color options right now, at least out West. Not many ZL1's and most seem to be black or white.

Congrats your going to love the car, I have 0 complaints and would buy it all over again.

The only thing the 6th Gen SS has over the ZL1 is interior, but who cares about interior in a muscle car?
