"No Music files found"
Hello,
I've searched for this and only found a couple of threads that were not responded to. I was hoping to find some insight in the general forums. This issue appeared to have occurred out of no where. It was working earlier during the day and now it will not work at all. Upon connecting my iPhone I get "No Music Files Found", yet it plays the files on the device. Upon clicking "OK" to dismiss the error it goes to FM radio. Steps I've tried: 1. Rebooted iPhone multiple times. 2. Reset all Settings on the phone. 3. Let the car sit OFF for 1 hour. 4. Different USB cable. 5. Different device, same issue. Has anyone seen this, or have any insight on what to try?

Happens on mine as well the usual problem for me is the iPhone if the music app is open it usually has a problem connecting and throw that no files found , it also happens in my 2010 Range Rover sport but it will say can't connect to device, just open the iPhone and close the music app and it should work just fine

Thanks for the reply. I've tried that as well (the Reset All Settings force closes all apps). In the past it always defaults to opening the Apple Music app music first, and I've not updated recently for iOS.

Happened to me once. It went on for two days and just as I was about to take in to the dealer it began functioning fine.

When I owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee it would open the music app as well, but honestly I think it's the iOS best bet is update your phone

For me, it happened consistently with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3. I just copied all my MP3 to a USB stick and use that in the car. When i want to update my music, I just pull it out, sync it up to my PC and plug it back in the car..

Resolved the issue. It turns out my Apple Music subscription ended, in turn deleted my offline music files. So while it would play spotify and stream music from Apple, it was not finding any specific files in the music app.
