polishing the radio

Over the summer, something must have scraped up the part of the radio that looks like glass (the part that displays the time, etc.) They look allot like common swirls that you would see on your paint. Would I be able to polish that material? I have menzerna fg400, along with sf4500.

Is yours a nav screen or anything?

If not, use Plastx. You can buy it at any Walmart or Auto zone etc.

I use it on a terry cloth

Nope, just the regular radio. Will plastx fill in the scratches, or actually get rid of them?

I've used a fine polish with a mf applicator by hand to remove those scratches. They come out pretty easy but they will be back in no time unless you never touch it.

Gets rid of them. Its a polish.

You can use any fine polish really. M205 for example. fG400 might be a little much. 4500 might not be enough. Worth a shot though.

Just an update, bought some plastx, made a few passes over it with a foam applicator pad, and its flawless. Thanks for the tip!

For anyone reading this in the future, I had created a video a little while ago showing the process:
