This should probably be asked in the Cosmetic Maintenance section.

Ive tried a few with decent results, but have yet to pull the trigger on "Expensive" waxes.. Maguillars, Mothers.. they all work. The key is a really good clean first. Once its clean and sparkling, the wax is just icing on the cake.

Try Speed Demon from Surf City Garage. Its not expensive and can be found locally in most places. Expensive doesn't = better. The web site has all the retailers.

Are you open to spray sealants or strictly looking for a wax?

For wax, I like Pinnacle XMT 360. I don't think any spray waxes are much good though. Sealants on the other hand...

Turtle Wax makes a Black detail spray that works wonders on black cars.

I like Meguiars Ultimate Detailer but it does not replace wax. I use it after every wash.

I used MUD as well since it came in my claybar kit, but it's too damn expensive to use after every wash. There are several detail sprays that come in concentrate and will make SEVERAL gallons of product. Currently trying out CG detailer spray righ now and it's pretty good. Going to try out the optimum stuff next.

As for spray wax, I don't see how it can compare to a good paste wax. In the old days, paste was massively hard to get off but some of this newer stuff wipes off very easily and it lasts considerably longer.

Meguiar's NXT 2.0. Looks awesome, you can apply in 100 degree weather and easy to buff. Only con is it lasts only about 2 weeks.

Our detail spray falls more into the spray wax category than it did before now that it has the wax booster in it... still not a true spray wax, but I'd be willing to bet the protection it puts down is on par with most OTC spray waxes, which isn't much in my experience.
