Need DashCam mounting ideas.

I picked up the Anker Roav dashcam for a pretty good deal and am getting ready to hard-wire it and mount it.

https://goroav.com/

I already have an Escort Max 360 mounted with a Blendmount to my rear view mirror.

I am looking for ideas on where / how to mount this thing. I could stick it to the windshield BUT I have Air80 windshield film and am worried that it might not stick well or pull the dang Air80 film off (would that happen?).

Right now, my only idea is to stick the dashcam to the bottom of my Max360. Not even sure how I feel about that...it'd be a big lump on the bottom of the Max360 and maybe it might cause too much vibration.

So any thoughts? Has anyone created some kind of bracket I could get my installer to replicate?

Closing the loop (from the lack of replies not that anyone cares LOL)...I put it on the glass...my guy said it is so light it won't pull off my windshield film.

I have film on my windshield as well and wondered about mounting anything to it. Thought if I had to remove, I could heat things a tad bit and then use some floss to separate it from the glass.

Just looked over the ROAV and doesn't look bad at all. I have something to use like a GoPro for those special occasions like laps at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway or cruises but I want something for the daily drive.

So thanks for showing this and what is your review on it, and how did you hard wire it as I don't want to have anything in my 12v locations.....

For ROAV I am still a noob with it but it seems pretty slick. You can link your phone to it via their app and wifi connection. So you don't even need to pull out your micro-SD card just download to your phone. You can also change the settings from your phone.

From the reviews, it is a good Dash Cam but there are a couple that all the "in the know" people seem to like better. No one has said the ROAV is bad they just really like these two other models that have superior cameras (but you can't really tell unless you look hard).

I like that it turns itself of (it has battery backup) when it feels your car move when it isn't getting power...so for instance if someone hits your car you have the video proof (just have to mostly reverse into stalls to make sure you catch them on camera...which is how I park normally with the Camaro.

I also like that it is from Anker...they are the BEST electronic peripheral company in the world and stand by all their products.

Any dashcam is better than no dashcam. Especially in this car, most cops, at least around here, just assume it's the sports cars' fault. It's nice to have proof that, NO, that a-hole in the Prius caused the whole thing.

I don't use a radar, but looking at that blendmount to hold a 360fly. For fun used a helmet strap mount and hogtied it to the rear-view mirror to hold it and see how it looked.
