Modern Spare also says that their wheel will fit over the brakes with no spacers. Plus the aluminum wheel is way cooler!!
Got mine in 2014 from performancespare.com. Lies completely flush with trunk floor - you can't tell I have it in there. Haven't had to use it (yet!) but if/when I do, I'll fit it to the front only ( if I have a rear puncture I'll put a front on the rear) Reason being the ride height is very slightly different (I did work it out but can't remember exact figure - think it was <20mm) This difference could affect the diff. Kit is well-made & comes with everything. Guy is called Randy.

I wanted peace of mind and went with performance spare. It does raise the trunk floor but i dont have to carry a spacer. And it creates a nice holding area on each side of the trunk that's deeper and holds things there quite well. I put the inflater kit there so i have plan A & B covered.

Yeah I would have gone with those guys if Modern Spare hadn't come out with their kit. From what I understand the kit from Modern Spare doesn't require a spacer and it does not lift the trunk floor, so best of both worlds. Can't replace peace of mind

So has anyone confirmed if the kit from Modern Spare will fit on an SS?

Yes, fit's great. There's a good amount of clearance between my brembo's and the spare. It also fits in the spare tire well just about perfectly. When I get more time I'll post up a review. PM if you need the link.

Looks like the roller skates wouldn't fit. A pad replacement may be necessary.

Nah I actually think they would fit. With it being a skinny wheel there's more space for the roller skates than what you can see in the pics. Hard to explain, but where the roller skates would go the wheel has more clearance for them.

Be good if someone would verify for sure ...
This picture shows the clearance using the OEM Camaro spare and a 2.5" wheel spacer. It just barely clears the roller skates with the large wheel spacer. The roller skates stick out pretty far.

My 2013 brakes don't look like that. Still don't know if wheel will fit. Is the front the only issue here. The wheel will fit on the rear won't it?
