What I said was if there are tunes available for them, they will be pretty damn quick and a quick way for someone to get good power in a cheaper package (albeit killing their warranty of course, but thats not the point here). If you think there aren't all kinds of cobalt SS's running around out there with little more than basic bolt ons and a tune that won't eat up stock L99s....you'd be wrong.

I'm not saying a turbo 4 in a 2700 lb car couldn't be a match for a V8 in a 3800 lb car. But that is a completely different argument. That's a case of less mass making up for the engine's shortcomings. The discussion here is engine vs. engine, not entire car/package vs. entire car/package.

Second, your argument is moot if you are going to base it on modding. You can mod a car to do anything the size of your wallet will allow. Yes, you can tune a Turbo 4 to match, or maybe even beat a stock V8 if you really throw a lot of money at it and don't care about durability, but the V8 can be modded, too.

I for one am very excited about these new power wars. As a brand new wrx owner, I am learning just how fun turbo 4's can be. And for those that say they can't hang with V8s, I'd encourage you to look at performance numbers and also go drive one. (I recognize the wrx's awd changes some variables.)

I think GM knows how important it is to nail the design. I sure hope they can do it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mu...ond_generation) maybe their refresh will keep them on course and change the body style to reflect the experiment they once had with the other four cylinder

I onno know how I feel about this lol I dont even know what to say
Feel like the engine is going to work superhard to get the good mpg numbers when cruising Im guessing new mustang will weight 3300-3500 pounds but still. Would much rather them stick to v6s and v8s Hear a turbo 4 sound out of a Mustang or Camaro is going to be hard to get over for myself lol Call myself ignorant just being honest
