NPP Exhaust Question

Got kicked off the track for being to loud. 108DP, Limit is 104DP. Car has 2" kooks with no cats into the factory suitcase. Does any one know if there is a way to do a mod so the valves stay slightly closed under full throttle. I tried putting the exhaust in tour but full throttle over ridded that thought. Any ideas would be great! I would like to do late night drags at the local track but not changing my setup

That's rough. Stock mufflers and you're getting kicked off the track. I'm sure you can rig something up so they don't open all the way.

Well you could hard wire a +12v key-on bypass to the valves from a via a switch in the trunk.

No idea whether lots of WOT with NPP closed will do Bad_Things(TM) to the car...

Wow, they kick you from the track? There was a ton of really loud cars there. How many runs did you get in? I got four in, but I am pretty much all stock except K&N air filter. I left pretty much after we talked and didn't get a chance to watch you, PIR was getting extremely busy.

Put cats on your car that will quiet it down. Or pull the exhaust fuse and weld the valves partly shut to your desired dB level. Or make up some reducing tips that you could just clamp on the outer pipes maybe for ease of reversal.

Is the non-powered position of the valves open or closed?

Open, when fuse pull is performed it leaves them in the open position.

I'd put on the green cats. I bet that would get you down the couple db you need

Maybe try a resonator that can be easily removed

I have not run at PIR yet, but was planning on it this summer, but My car is all stock so I am sure I'm quiet enough. I didn't know PIR had a noise DB requirement though...sucks.
