Creaky old car noises
Hey guys. My 2011 2LT only has 62k miles (mainly city driving) creaks like an old ship or haunted house at low speeds and especially upon braking. Any ideas how to fix it?

My 14 with 43k miles has been doing this some lately as well. Sounds like passenger rear but have not been able to pinpoint it yet. Only does it after driving and getting everything good and hot. Doesn't do it on demand, Doesnt matter if clutch in or out, brakes on or off. Like yours though, only low speeds after braking.

Perhaps it's time to look at suspension parts. Even though that's not a ton of miles, the type of driving (city) and condition of roads can cause a lot of stress on these parts. Shocks and bushings can get eaten up pretty quickly by pot holes, speed bumps and generally rough roads. Then add the stop and go and it all adds up pretty quickly.
Sometimes it's also a matter of going through and checking the fasteners on interior parts as well as the undercarriage. Though, more often then not things like that are related to worn suspension parts. |
