Best Solutions for 6th Gen Camaro Tint

Previously got the windows tinted on the Camaro only issue is the rear windshield has air pockets within and around the dot matrix.

I don't like the way it looks it been 5 days; I don't think it will get any better as it stands right now.

How have you all ensured you got a great install with this dot matrix issue.

Thoughts...

Pay a reputable professional. If you don't like the way it's done, take it back and make them re-do it. I had mine redone twice before it was the way I wanted it. The first time had a bubble at the bottom of the driver window from the window indexing (not their fault) and the second time there was a tiny piece of lint under the film. I COULD have ignored it, but I would have noticed it over and over, so I wanted it fixed.

A good shop won't look down on you for having them fix it. It's their name and reputation on the line every time someone looks at your car, so they'll want it perfect too.

The dot matrix is very hard to cover with tint. I have seen shops that will shave it off, but most, even very good shops, have a hard time with it.

I have heard of places using black vinyl on top of the tint in the dot matrix areas, but do not have any personal experience with this technique.

Currently having the tint removed from the car. Installer said "there isn't much we can do with that... but I can do it again but it's gonna look the same."

I told him take it out and gimme money now.

I know an installer in my home town that can that knows how to handle dot matrix.

My installer stuffed paper towel in the bottom, and told me to leave it their for 2 or 3 days. Then to remove it slowly. I'm assuming this was to keep the bottom in place.
Once I removed the paper everything was perfect, and has stayed that way.

I just had mine done today so I don't know how well these guys have done but I have had my last four cars done and they all had the dots on the windows and all have had a spots that didn't seal down good.

All the tint guys I have used came highly recommended by friends in either the body shop or detailing business.

I've done three cars with the dotmatrix , never had a problem. My installer takes a good bit of time but every one of them has completely cleared up after two or three days in the hot sun. I know several people where the installer put a strip of black vinyl over the dotmatrix also.

I seriously feel helpless with this dot matrix. I spoke to another tint shop he told me " yeah no problem we use dot devil" I looked it up and that stuff is used to scrape the dots off
